Enhancing GDPR Compliance and Managing Risk with Augmented Intelligence
Squirro GDPR application is a solution that makes becoming and remaining GDPR compliant a much simpler process, and significantly reduces the exposure to a massive fine.
Could your business afford a €20m fine for non-compliance with GDPR?
Or survive the long-term reputational damage that would come with that? Thought not.
The European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the biggest change to data privacy laws in a generation. Any organization that holds data on EU citizens (irrespective of that company’s own location) must be compliant with GDPR, and a failure to do so can result in a fine of up to €20m or 4% of annual turnover, whichever is greater.
As well as harmonizing data privacy laws across Europe and protecting EU citizens privacy, GDPR also looks to reshape the way organizations approach data privacy. With businesses often lacking the right tools to approach GDPR, Squirro’s GDPR application can play a major role in doing so.

Application Overview:
1.
Inbound request triaging
When GDPR requests are made, companies must answer in a very short period. It is therefore crucial to identify as efficiently as possible all GDPR requests.
Squirro GDPR application can connect to generic inboxes and identify automatically any GDPR requests. These are then classified and transferred to a GDPR Workbench Dashboard that kicks-off a counter showing the days left to answer the request.
2.
Fully automated data gathering
A key challenge when addressing GDPR is that in modern organizations, customer data is often stored in countless silos all over the business – CRM systems, file servers, ERP, email and much more. Over 90% of this data is unstructured. This means searching for data that needs to be GDPR-compliant can take hundreds or even thousands of man hours, depending on the volume of data and the number of requests.
Squirro GDPR application offers out-of-the-box large sets of connectors to search for and collate data from all over an organization and then delivers it to the user in an easy-to-read GDPR dashboard for review.
3.
Automated cognitive search and smart classification
Squirro GDPR application utilizes Squirro’s market-leading cognitive search functionality to locate even the most hard-to-find data that could slip the net if searched for manually. Additionally, it also classifies this data according to client preference – usually name, surname, mail, address – and based on this classification, presents results to the user via Squirro GDPR dashboard with the capability to slice and dice through the data.
4.
Data review process
The entire GDPR application is powered by Augmented Intelligence, so will learn to manage an organization’s data even more effectively. This is especially valuable in the review process, which provides recommendations via the GDPR dashboard as to what the best course of action to take is.
Squirro can outline the results that are relevant to be moved to a report, which needs to be reviewed confidentially or which can’t be handed out or deleted because the action would be in conflict with another regulation.
