Dr. Dorian Selz is co-founder and CEO of Squirro, an AI company. Before that, he founded the Swiss search platform local.ch and made it the market leader in four years. Previously he was a partner and COO at Namics, the largest e-business consultancy in Switzerland & Germany. He holds a PhD from the University of St. Gallen and a Master in Economics from the University of Geneva. Bilanz & Le Temps, two leading Swiss Newspapers, have named him member of the ‘Hall of Fame’ of the top 100 Digital Shapers of Switzerland.
Lauren works as the Head of Training and Education at Squirro and is an avid promoter of an interactively adaptive educational experience. For the past few years, she has been engaged in the field of technology and technology assisted learning as a leader, learning facilitator and a global academic content director. With an identified background in Corpus Linguistics, a budding passion for all things software and language – remains to this day! In her free time, she enjoys beat biking, learning languages, writing prose and traveling.
Steven is the Senior Marketing Director at Squirro. He has more than 20 years of experience in various fields of marketing, from planning macro and micro goals including ROI-specific metrics, to executing integrated strategies, to fine-tuning for increased lead generation. His expertise allows him to create successful messaging in an easily consumed and desirable format.
As a Sales and Marketing Support Specialist, Aurélie’s role at Squirro is to support the teams and bring the insights generation to the next level for leading data-driven enterprises worldwide. Her academic and extracurricular experiences have empowered her with the necessary knowledge and soft skills for her daily work. Besides working at Squirro, Aurélie currently studies Finance and Strategy at Sciences Po Paris.
Maja Habas is a Content Marketing Manager at Squirro and a true language enthusiast. She holds a Master’s degree in English and is fluent in several other languages. Before working at Squirro, she worked in translation and marketing. Applying her knowledge in the field of technology and bringing more awareness about the exciting field of augmented intelligence to the greater public is at the heart of her current job.
Wiktor works as Lead Frontend Engineer at Squirro. He has over fifteen years of professional experience in software architecture and engineering on web and desktop platforms. He is passionate about software development and strives to find cutting-edge solutions to real-life business problems. He is pedantic about code and very excited about the mobile revolution and its impact on the industry and people’s everyday lives.
Shivani Visen is Head of Design at Squirro. For the past years, she has been focusing on establishing and growing Squirro’s design department into a well-performing entity within the company. She is an advocate of integrating design culture at the company. At Squirro, she formulates design strategies, growth plans, processes, design systems and pushes for high design standards to be the company goal. Most importantly, she works towards building a data-informed design culture and debates factually and intellectually on various design-related topics.
Khushbu Saxena is a Software Engineer at Squirro. Her area of interest lies in the field of Machine Learning/Deep Learning. Throughout her masters, she has developed various projects in Python (Pytorch, Theano, Tensorflow), C++ and MATLAB spanning the fields of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision (CV). The rapid advancements in the field challenges her to learn fast, and enhances her problem-solving skills. She aspires to develop AI-enabled smart solutions with the purpose of taking the best advantage of Deep Learning Methods.
Sander Desmet is Senior Director – Product Strategy at Moody’s Analytics based in Brussels, Belgium. He has over 15 years of experience in creating information products that help decision makers effectively mitigating risk and driving growth. Sander joined Bureau van Dijk in 2007 in a sales role. After Moody’s acquired Bureau van Dijk, he joined the Product Strategy team with responsibility for Orbis, a growing database of companies and other entities with information on close to 400 million companies worldwide.
Kirk Werner is the VP of Content for Udacity, responsible for the strategy and development of Udacity’s Nanodegree, Executive Programs, and other instructional content. Udacity creates content to fill the job roles of today and the skill gaps of tomorrow for the world’s workforce. Over the last 20 years, Kirk has led teams building online educational experiences on topics ranging from programming languages to product management, executive leadership to financial services and almost everything in between.
Dr Lee Mackenzie holds a doctorate in Education and Social Justice. He has worked as a teacher trainer across four continents and over a dozen countries including Tajikistan, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Spain, Czech Republic, Qatar, Vietnam, China, India, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela and Peru. He currently works as a lecturer for Liverpool Hope University.
Valeria Carrillo is a former classroom teacher, academic content writer, researcher, learning experience designer and mentor to first generation professionals. She holds a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Her research focus was learning design and leadership. Valeria’s journey into education and tech has been fueled with an unrelenting passion for lifelong and lifewide learning. She believes in the transformative power of education and has used her academic studies to contribute to the success of others.
Ramnath Sarma is a banking and technology leader with over 25 years of experience. Ramnath has a proven track record of formulating and executing large transformation programs – both business and technology, and successfully delivering business outcomes.
Over the last couple of years Ryan has been working in the Learning Technology space, with a focus on corporate learning. In his day to day, he speaks with HR/Learning leaders around the world on ways they can better upskill/reskill their employees. Ryan is clear that the most exciting part of his role is working on ways to help people to consume knowledge and drive behavior change. Helen is currently working on the PRA RegTech Strategy, delivering a range of ML/AI tools to enable the digitalisation journey. Her career spans over 20 years, initially as a management consultant, then at major bank before joining the Bank of England 4 years ago. Her typical role is addressing a regulatory change and implementing both technology and cultural change to address the challenge. She is a real fan of innovation being led by all aspects of an organization to create new opportunities for change.
In 1992 Annerie Vreugdenhil started at ING and held various positions, which
revolved around maintaining and expanding relationships with clients in ING’s Wholesale Banking division, before being appointed as Head of ING Neo and Chief Innovation Officer in 2021. In the latter role she has been able to use her ability to see opportunities in all kind of situations, to challenge the status quo and to rethink services and processes.
