Dr. Thomas J. Fuchs is the Founder and Chief Scientist at Paige. He is a pioneer in the groundbreaking field of computational pathology, using artificial intelligence to analyze images of tissue samples to identify disease, recommend treatment and predict outcome. He was named one of the Top 100 AI Leaders in Drug Discovery and Advanced Healthcare in 2019. Dr. Fuchs is also the Dean of Artificial Intelligence and Human Health and Co-Director of the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Previously, Dr. Fuchs was Associate Professor for Machine Learning at Weill-Cornell University, Director of the Warren Alpert Center for Digital and Computational Pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Research Technologist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Dr. Fuchs holds a Doctor of Sciences from ETH Zurich in Machine Learning and a MS in Technical Mathematics from Graz Technical University in Austria.
