Zurich, Switzerland – June 17, 2026 – Squirro, an enterprise AI platform serving financial institutions from asset management to central banking, has been named to the AIFinTech100 2026 list by FinTech Global. The annual list, selected by a panel of industry analysts and senior FinTech experts, identifies the 100 AI companies having the most meaningful impact on financial services globally. This is the third consecutive year Squirro has appeared on the list.

The listing reflects Squirro's continued footprint across the financial services sector. Its enterprise-grade AI is trusted by some of the world's most influential financial institutions, including the European Central Bank, Deutsche Bundesbank, and OCBC Bank. Squirro's inclusion spans five segments: Banking, Insurance, Customer Experience, Compliance and Fraud Detection, and Investment and Trading.

Richard Sachar, CEO at FinTech Global, noted that this year's list reflects a broader shift in the industry. "AI in financial services has moved into a more practical, operational phase, where the focus is less on what the technology can do and more on whether it delivers reliably in real-world use," he said. "The 2026 AIFinTech100 highlights firms that are helping financial institutions rethink how work gets done across increasingly complex environments."

Serving the Most Demanding Institutions in Financial Services

The platform's deployments vary considerably across those client types. Central banks and regulators use it to surface research, automate supervisory workflows, and manage access to highly sensitive data across large, distributed teams. Asset managers use it to give client advisors real-time access to enterprise knowledge, covering regulatory guidance, market data, and client information, reducing reliance on calls to the home office. Across retail banking and insurance, it supports customer-facing teams with information retrieval and automates the resolution of routine operational issues.

What connects these deployments is a shared requirement: AI that produces verifiable outputs, respects existing access controls, and can be audited. Squirro's platform combines retrieval augmented generation, knowledge graphs, and agentic AI workflows to ground every response in verified enterprise knowledge. Permissions are enforced at the retrieval layer. Every output is traceable to a source.

"The institutions we work with are not evaluating AI anymore," said Dave Clarke, Chief Executive Officer of Squirro. "They are using it to automate complex workflows, accelerate investment research, and retain institutional knowledge that would otherwise be lost when experienced people leave. That is a different conversation than the one happening three years ago, and it requires a different kind of platform."

Growing Deployment in Investment Banking and Private Equity

Squirro has seen increasing adoption in investment banking and private equity, where deal teams use the platform to unify fragmented internal knowledge across origination, due diligence, and portfolio company management. By connecting historical deal materials, pitchbooks, and data spread across multiple systems, the platform makes institutional knowledge accessible at the point of need. For portfolio company oversight, it can automate contract enforcement and surface operational issues before they escalate.

This AIFinTech100 recognition follows a series of independent validations over the past twelve months. Gartner named Squirro an Emerging Leader in both GenAI Engineering and AI Knowledge Management, and a Recognized Vendor for banking and financial services. Verdantix positioned the company in its Green Quadrant for Enterprise AI Platforms. The Financial Technology Report ranked Squirro 34th in its Top 50 Financial Technology Companies of 2025.

Squirro is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, and operates across Europe, the United States, and Asia.
