ZURICH, Switzerland – December 3, 2025 – Squirro, a leading provider of Generative AI, enterprise search, and retrieval augmented generation solutions, today announced the signing of its first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnership with Vertec, , a provider of software solutions for Professional Services Automation (PSA). Headquartered in Zurich and serving the entire DACH region, Vertec supports project- and mandate-driven service organizations, including law firms, management consultancies, and engineering firms, with solutions for CRM, project costing, performance tracking, invoicing, and controlling.
In this agreement, Vertec will integrate Squirro's advanced knowledge management platform directly into its core ERP & CRM solution. This marks a significant strategic milestone for Squirro, as its technology will now power an intelligent chat interface embedded within the Vertec platform, becoming a native feature for Vertec's customers.
The new chat interface provides users with a powerful way to "converse" with their enterprise data, combines two powerful technologies:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): To interact with and understand unstructured proprietary data, such as internal project documents and reports.
- Data Virtualization: To access and query structured data (like project financials, time entries, and client records) stored in core enterprise platforms (e.g., CRM and ERP) in real-time.
This dual approach allows service professionals to ask complex questions in natural language and receive a single, accurate, and comprehensive answer synthesized from all relevant data sources. The end-user benefits are clear: significant efficiency increases and the ability to proactively identify new opportunities for additional revenue.
The partnership was recently showcased at Vertec's customer conference, the Vertec Anwendertagung, at The HALL Stettbach in Dübendorf, Switzerland, where Squirro participated and presented the new capabilities.
